back those days is a performance that explores the complex transitions and tensions between childhood and adulthood. The work takes as its starting point a performative reflection on memories, physical gestures and dramatic moments, as these are reflected in a theatrical manner through the interplay between past and present. On stage, childlike spontaneity and adult role models come face to face. In fragmented scenes, naive, playful acts alternate with the deliberate portrayal of social expectations and intense emotionality. Physical presence remains central to this: one’s own body becomes a vessel for memory, a medium for the renegotiation of identities and life stories. Through deliberate choreography, improvised gestures and the conscious use of voice and material, an open dialogue emerges about the ‘drama’ of growing up.
