resting pieces

installation (latex, ceramics, steel, textile)

What would happen if everyone goes to sleep? If everyone laid down their function, find themselves in a resting position and enter a dreaming state.
The installation shows an exploration of inner and outer states of exhaustion, moments of supposed passivity, forms of productivity in apparent unproductivity, as well as the cancellation of (purposeful) functions. Sleep, resting, relaxing, the so-called ‘Blau machen’ is thematised and inactivity is elevated as an act of resistance.
