The cinema. A place where you take on the role of an anonymous observer. The entire visual focus is on the projection screen. The darkness of the cinema leaves the immediate surroundings in the dark. This situation, this act of watching a film, is questioned with the work STÖRFAKTOR and turned in a different direction. A projection of a 16 mm film strip (found footage) appears on the screen, the content of which deals with observing and being observed.
The performance taking place at the same time in the cinema contains disturbing behaviour on an exaggerated scale, such as loud coughing, walking through rows of seats, physical contact, light sources, slamming doors, loud phone calls, …. etc. Ultimately, the screening situation is reversed by the performer filming the cinema-goers.
